The City of Zavalla is giving notice and soliciting comments on its intent to submit a Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (TxCDBG-MIT) application to the Texas General Land Office under the 2016 Floods State Mitigation Competitions for citywide flood mitigation including street and drainage improvements.
The City intends to request funding of $3,600,000 and the City will provide $36,000 in matching funds.
The City plans on submitting the application on or before October 28, 2020. Written comments may be made prior to 4:30pm, October 26, 2020, by contacting City Hall (838 E. Main St., Zavalla, TX 75980) or emailing wherrington@cityofzavalla.com.
