PUBLIC WORKS HELPER JOB OPENING

The City of Zavalla is accepting applications for a Public Works Helper position.

Job Duties Include:

• Reading water meters monthly

• Repairing water leaks

• Installing new water meters

• Assisting with water distribution system maintenance

• Assisting with wastewater/sewer system operations and maintenance

• Maintaining city streets and roads

• Mowing and weed-eating city properties

• Maintaining the City Park and other city-owned properties

• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License

• Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work independently

• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Must be capable of performing physical labor, including lifting, digging, mowing, weed-eating, and operating equipment

• Must obtain a Texas Class C Water License within one (1) year of employment

• Must obtain a Texas Wastewater License within one (1) year of employment
